Safety Policy

At Charters Towers Buckets and Bodies, our ability to conduct our business in a manner that ensures the safety of our employees, clients and any one else involved in our business, is central to our operation AND it makes good economic sense.
When we complete a task safely for our clients - whether it is in our workshop or on site, we are giving them comfort that they have made a rational and economic decision to send their business to us.

To achieve this Dawsons Group of Companies will:
- Use Australian Standards and Queensland Legislation as the basis for benchmarking best practice.
- Take all reasonable and practical measures to ensure the workplace is free of potentially hazardous conditions.
- Clearly assign accountability and responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety management leadership and performance, at organizational, functional, and operational levels.
- Provide supervision, information, training, procedures, and protective equipment so that employees, contractors, and visitors can carry out work in a safe and productive manner.
- Ensure that all incidents and accidents are thoroughly investigated to eliminate or reduce any future occurrences.
- Improve occupational health and safety through periodic review and improvement of Policies and procedures.
- Maintain trained individuals or teams capable of dealing with medical and emergency situations.
- Prevent personal and company losses from the consequences of accidents, injuries, illness, property damage, environmental and process loss.
- Use a risk management methodology to develop and implement systems and procedures.
- Provide health support systems to ensure the continued good health of employees, contractors and or visitors exposed to potential hazards and provide effective rehabilitation to promote early recovery from work based injuries or illness.
- Provide and support workplace based consultative and communication processes.
